Grinnode.live new site update with health score API, World Map & more…

We are continuously working on grinnode.live to improve and extend our services freely available to grin community. In this update, we are happy to present several features, most important one being monitoring of grin-network health. In 2020/08 there had been an attack on grin-network. Afterwards several project has started for monitoring and defending of grin-network such as Grin Nicehash Defender and grin-health. We have developed a monitoring service based on j01tz’s grin-health library. Our grin health service monitors log files of nodes connected to Grinnode.live and calculate a health score. You can view instant health score and a chart of recent scores at grinnode.live. Health score is available as public API endpoint with most recent 10 data points as time series.

As a grin user, you may want to check if a wallet you want to make transaction is alive and listening. For this purpose you can use Grinnode.live’s check tor address service. Just enter wallet’s tor address to find out if the wallet is alive.

World Map of Grin-Node distribution

We have added a world map visualization of connected nodes to grin-node. You can see how the nodes are distributed among countries and witness spreading of grin network all around the world.

As stated earlier, all these services are freely available as API endpoints!
